This mug was a joy to create and represents an incredible amount of work. The form was wheel-thrown before layers of drippy slip were added and carefully carved away to reveal a heart and rainbow emerging from beneath the surface. Custom-tinted porcelains were individually mixed to create the heart details, and multiple custom glazes were applied before the piece underwent several firings and a cold-working process to achieve its final form.
